The Department of Biomedical Chemistry is composed of the Major of Applied Biochemistry and the Major of Applied Chemistry. As a wide-ranging field of study, the Major of Applied Biochemistry identifies control mechanisms and control materials of vital functions in order to prevent and treat diseases based on biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics and physiology and applies the study to the production of health-related products. The Major of Applied Chemistry studies structure and properties of materials and the process of creating new materials through the change of materials as a basic science. It is a foundation for understanding and developing various areas directly related to human welfare. The Department of Biomedical Chemistry provides a comprehensive and systematic education in all the major-related areas with an aim to produce talented people who can tackle any type of changes after graduation.
