Classified as a teacher training field, the Department of Early Childhood Education aims to produce capable experts who can educate children who are in the most important developmental stage according to their characteristics. Students gain systematic understanding of children’s physical, cognitive, linguistic, social and emotional development and apply theories to the practices. The curriculum is composed of various practical opportunities including moc-class during the classes, observation and sit-in classes at the Konkuk Children’s Research Institute and Konkuk kindergarten, primary practice, education practices and child care practices. In addition, students participate in various programs including various small group activities, Dreaming Child Festival, graduation thesis, etc. in order to become a capable and knowledgeable teacher.
