Social Welfare

College of Public Service and Education

Social welfare is an organized and systematic social effort made to address various social issues, meet social demands and ultimately to guarantee each individual’s life and improve their quality of life. The Major of Social Welfare is a practical field of study which can be comprehensively applied to real life. We aim to nurture professional social welfare workers based on basic theories and practices. The major provides theoretical education and practices at social welfare organizations in order to help students to learn knowledge, methodology and skills in understanding, analyzing and addressing various social issues. We aim to produce the multiply-skilled expert social welfare workers required in constructing a Koreanized welfare society. While enhancing a sense of solidarity, we promote globalization and localization at the same time.
