Ever cince the foundation, We, Konkuk University, under our school motto of sincerity and righteousness, have sincerely performed important and worthwhile roles to the development talents capable of securing the true advancement of national welfare and culture.
Since the late Dr.Seok-Chang Yoo, who opened People’s Hospital in 1931 to unfold his spirit of saving people and serving the country with decent medical care in his colonized mother country, founded this university in 1946, based on this hospital with only one thing in his mind, serving the country through education, our university ceaselessly continues the brilliant tradition as a national private university while maintaining its reputation.
To open a new history of brighter and more hopeful glory in the Konkuk campus based on this proud history, I, myself, and the school corporation are strengthening the total capacity of the university and presenting an epoch-making paradigm of private university operation by positively unfolding large scale infrastructure building projects including the Star City development project initiated at the dawn of the 21st century.
These efforts of the school community to build a new cornerstone for the development of the university will continue. I sincerely appreciate all of you showing interest and support for Konkuk University and I promise you to do me best to support fostering talents.
