The Department of Library and Information Science aims to cultivate competent information specialists who can provide information and knowledge to others of every subject in the world. The foundation of the department was approved in 1983, and the master's program was opened in 2011 and the doctoral program in 2013. 

In the Department of Library and Information Science, students can acquire knowledge about the construction and operation of information systems dealing with practical matters through not only traditional disciplines such as △ classification △ bibliography, but in △ digital contents △ library automation system △ big data related subjects and etc. In their final year, students can experience what they have learned during their studies under the supervision of the practitioner through the △internship.
