Biomedical Engineering is a state-of-the-art fusion study aimed at improving the understanding of biological phenomena and developing healthcare devices for better diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation by applying electronic and mechanical engineering technologies and principles to the medical field. The Department of Biomedical Engineering has the third longest history of the nation’s medical engineering departments. Many alumni have been active in various fields in medical science, and our current students have pride and enthusiasm about college life. Our department shows excellence not only in employment rate, but also in research performances in school and we are participating in all large national projects (CK-1 Project, LINC+ Project, BK21 Plus Project) that are carried out in the college. In addition, with graduate schools active, there is also an opportunity for undergraduates to gain a deeper level of knowledge in areas of interest through interaction with graduate labs.
