Visual Communication & Media Design

College of Art & Design

The Department of Visual Communication & Media Design was created in 2018 by merging the Department of Visual Advertising Design and the Department of Film, Video, Animation and Interaction Media Design. The areas of visual communication and media design include brand design, editing design, advertisement design, digital media design, and animation. It is a field of designing images to express human behavior and thinking in a visual form, and delivering them through methods such as computer graphics. This major will produce creative, passionate content planners and producers needed in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which aims for a new paradigm. Accordingly, the curriculum is also established to systematically train the expertise, creative ability, and visual imaging capabilities required in the digital cultural content industry that creates high value-added information content and new artistic values, which will let us stand as creative communication design leaders of global sense.
